How To Receive A Living Deposit

 

What is the Gospel?

1.  The Gospel is a deposit of spiritual truth

What you have heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching. (2 Tim. 1:13)

Spiritual Truth:

The Gospel is the true message that there is something “out there”

The Gospel is the true message that I need help

The Gospel is the message that a battle has been won on a battleground

The Gospel is the message that there is something more for me in this life

2.  The Gospel is a deposit of spiritual life

Christ Jesus has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. (2 Tim. 1:10)

Spiritual life: “Incorruptibility”

“Life” means the regeneration of my spirit

“Life” means the renewing of my soul

“Life” means the redemption of my body

 

3.  The Gospel is a deposit of spiritual power

For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. (2 Tim. 1:7)

Spiritual Power

Power is the antithesis of fear

Power is the ability to operate out of faith instead of fear

Power is the ability to stay sweet in spite of the opposition against me

Power is the ability to stay focused and clear-minded in spite of the attacks against me.

Power is the ability to stay resolute and “on mission” in spite of setbacks

Power is the ability to prevail against my enemy

 

How do I receive the deposit?

Through hearing

Through believing

Through the laying on of hands
