Pastor Caren

I joined the staff at Harvest Time in July 2006. Since the 1980’s, my husband and I have been investing in ministries that affect families. It’s our passion to see families grow in Christ and become strong and healthy.

Christ entered my family line through my great grandmother. I represent the fourth generation of believers. Truly, the boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places!

I met my husband when I was ten years old. I told my mother, “I’m going to marry that Steven Petfield someday,” and that’s exactly what I did in 1990. He figures he had no choice in the matter, but truth be told, he’s NUTS about me!

We have a daughter, Samantha. She looks just like me, but with blue eyes, blond hair and fair skin. We also have two sons, Derek and Jacob. They’re easy to spot at church; just look for two tall, good-looking athletes. Yeah, Proud Mama here! We also have two minpin, chihuahua, dachshund mixes named Sugar and Spice. They’re sisters and are TOO ADORABLE!

Our family lives in New York, representing the Westchester County side of Harvest Time. Before age ten, I lived in Anchorage. I consider myself a bit of an oxymoron since I’m a Puerto Rican who lived in Alaska. Go figure! And for the record: No, I do not personally know Sarah Palin.

Along with leading the many ministries available to our infants through sixth graders, my husband and I invest heavily in the family as a whole. If you need counsel, encouragement or prayer, we’re here for you!

My favorite passage of scripture is found in Psalm 15:5-6, “LORD, You have assigned me my portion and my cup; You have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.”
